How was your company founded?
On March 1st, 1997, I founded my one-man business at home in my apartment. At that time, I was mainly doing the planning for three installation companies Freuler Heizungen / Christen Sanitär and Jean Egloff AG and also worked on construction projects for these companies, for example, to install underfloor heating. I planned heating systems and sanitary facilities together with Sandra Müller for two years before we merged to form MD-Plan GmbH in 2002. We expanded our site in Pfäffikon and now employ 11 people, three of whom are apprentices.
Have you ever had an unforgettable experience connected with your work?
I constantly experience nice situations with people on the construction site, at meetings or also internally at the company. The move into our new registered office on Schanzstrasse in Pfäffikon and the gift from my colleagues to celebrate the 20th anniversary of MD-Plan GmbH are unforgettable for me.
What is your daily work like and what do you love most about your business?
I answer e-mails, telephone calls and all questions from my employees. I often attend meetings for new projects and those where I myself act as project manager. A lot of quotations have to be drawn up in order to receive new orders. Occasionally, I still plan complete heating systems myself, including all calculations and CAD drawings. That, as well as advising clients, is what I like most about my job.
